In the 1970's I worked for the Navajo Tribe in Window Rock, AZ. My secretary was a remarkable Hopi woman, June Koyumptewa. June would remark about how busy I always seemed, that it reminded her of a wolf pacing. She nicknamed me "Ahote' the wolf" [ahote' is pronounced Ah-hoe-tay] from the Hopi word for "the restless one".

Live and Learn

My younger sister, Marti, has been curious about the places Jane and I put into our itinerary. And like my other sister, Ginny, she was an excellent teacher, hence her viewing this as an opportunity to study, learn, and share. She is assembling the tidbits she is finding along the way on a companion blog, triptrivia.blogspot.com. I will put a link to it underneath the link to Jane's "Pilgrim's Odyssey". I'm enjoying learning more about the places we will be visiting! Hey, as they say, "Live and learn!"
